Just Offal webcomic by Kendall Fortney, I have seen cats with this look on their face, completely oblivious to that fact they have done something completely wrong like eat a bird. And I have seen similar looks on the face of highschool students as the commit a crime against humanity, complete innocence.

For those who might remember, this is an older picture done in watercolor from last year. I just love the dumb look on the face of the cat; there is something universal in playing dumb. We have all done it at one point or another. I think it is becoming an important part of youthful education. How many stories have I heard from either of my parents about students playing dumb despite having committed the infraction within visual range of often multiple teachers.

I must admit, I don't have a whole lot to say right now. I am tired after a couple of nights of not sleeping well, and just waiting all so eagerly for an early morning at the bus stop. They either arrive too early for me to catch them or late enough that I can't feel my ears when they arrive. Today I had the joy of running after one, and realizing quickly that I am far too out of shape. I should start to run, right after the ice thaws off of all the sidewalks. When I get into the habit I do enjoy it.

And for those not in the know, you should check out this: Garfield minus Garfield. It is surprisingly introspective and the first time I have laughed at that particular strip since I was ten. Not that I don't have a couple small books of Garfield tucked between my Garden of Good and Evil and Universe in a Nutshell...

Peace,

Kendall
