This is one of those things that is based on a true sign from Mauna Kea visitor center in Hawaii. Truth is stranger than fiction. What is strange was a certain amount of earnestness behind the text. Apparently there is a genuine fear of invisible cows on the Big Island.

   For those who are truly keeping track, obviously this was posted rather late, a direct result from having Thursday and not Wednesday off as I normally do. I spent said Thursday putting my recently completed boat (I designed and built it in the basement) into the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh with my friend Conor. I grew up in canoes on river or lakes, but this boat is tipsier than anything I have every paddled and trying to control it while battling high and fast river water was difficult. It needs the outrigger I had originally planned for it. And carrying it down to the shore on my shoulders was a brilliant as it sounds, especially given the mile (literally) to the river's edge.
