For all three of you who have been paying attention, you will notice that this strip was late. However, I feel I have a damn good excuse. I am planning a two week ride on my motorcycle covering around 1,800 miles starting this Wednesday. Before undertaking this I needed to do some complicated maintenance. Replacing the fork seals means ordering the parts, then taking apart the entire front end of the motorcycle, replacing the seals, refilling the fork oil and then reassembling the whole thing. When I started the process I thought the hardest part would be taking everything apart to get to the seals but oh I was so wrong. No, it was removing the fork seals from the fork tube that brought everything to a standstill. After struggling all day and into the night I tried calling the BMW dealership to see if they could remove the seal for me but they didn't have an opening until mid June, despite the fact it would take ten minutes to do. Well, I couldn't wait until then so over the night and the next morning I managed to get the seal out with brute force and the new one in. By the late afternoon it was reassembled and mostly functional, but I had no time to do the comic and code. It goes to show, the project went from about 4 hours to over 16 hours just because of not having a specially designed tool. So silly.
That whole story brings me to another pressing point. I am going to be on the road for a bit and I am not sure whether I am going to risk taking the laptop with me on the bike or not so there may not be comics until june 20th. I will promise that there will be one on Monday though. I may put up pages from the book I am working on when I am gone as well. I am just not sure yet.
Okay, I have been in front of this machine for almost eleven hours, good luck and good night.
Peace,
Kendall
